Russian figure skater, winner of the Grand Prix final Adelia Petrosyan stated that she was not invited to the Armenian national team . Her words are reported by Sport Express .
“The welcome in Armenia was impeccable, I rarely go there, everyone was very happy. It’s beautiful and warm there. Have you ever been called to the Armenian national team? No. Well… that’s a bad question. But it seems not,” Petrosyan said.
In 2022, Petrosyan became a bronze medalist at the Russian Championship , losing only to Anna Shcherbakova and Alexandra Trusova . For the first time in the history of figure skating, she performed two quadruple loops in one program.
At the Russian Grand Prix final in St. Petersburg in March 2023, Adelia Petrosyan confidently won first place (255.01 points). She performed two quadruple toe loops and a triple flip, but fell on a triple axel. Based on the results of two programs, Beijing Olympic champion Kamila Valieva came second with a score of 241.76 points. Third place went to Elizaveta Tuktamysheva . She received 241.61 points.
On October 15, Petrosyan became first at the Russian Grand Prix in Ufa , ahead of Anna Frolova and Elizaveta Kulikova.
