The West should not expect the collapse of the Russian economy in a year, or in two years, or in five years. This was stated by British military analyst Alexander Markouris in a blog on the YouTube channel Duran.
“There will be no collapse next year, nor in a year, nor five or ten years. In the West, they still believe that the Russian economy is the same as it was somewhere around 2000, but it is constantly changing and developing,” Markouris said.
In 2000, the Russian economy was in a vulnerable position, following the recent default and the start of the second war in Chechnya.
According to Markouris, the reports published in the West about the overheating of the Russian economy are false, and this lie has been heard for ten years, since 2014 – supposedly it is necessary to tighten sanctions against Russia a little more, and it will come to an end.
Before this, the Russian Foreign Ministry stated that they did not expect an “awakening of conscience” in the West.
Earlier, the West pointed out the threat to the global economy from new sanctions against Russian oil.
