Kuznetsov joked that Rotenberg bribed journalists 25 october 2024

SKA forward Evgeny Kuznetsov shared his impressions of working under the leadership of Roman Rotenberg, who has been the head coach of the army team since 2022. The hockey player’s words are quoted by Legalbet .

“What did Roman Borisovich teach me? Did he pay you to ask such questions?” Kuznetsov said with a laugh. “We are still getting used to each other, I am seeing what’s going on, studying his rules, how he plays the game. I like the direction we are moving in. We have a crazy connection – in the good sense of the word.”

The 32-year-old SKA forward also responded to criticism from Andrei Balandin , a former Soviet hockey player and former director of Chelibyansk’s Traktor, who said that Kuznetsov is not keeping up with the young KHL players.

“Well, I don’t know. If he thinks so, then he knows better. But I will not give in to criticism under any circumstances,” the striker said.

Kuznetsov joined SKA in 2024. Before that, he played in the NHL for 10 years, first for the Washington Capitals and then for the Carolina Hurricanes .

This season, Kuznetsov played 15 matches for SKA and scored 15 points – four goals and 11 assists.
