The Chairman of the Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrykin, ordered to check the video showing people in St. Petersburg being beaten by migrants, the press service of the Investigative Committee reported .
“The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia instructed the acting head of the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for St. Petersburg O.V. Bobkov to initiate a criminal case and submit a report,” the department reported.
The Baza Telegram channel reported that a company of unknown people was beating passers-by in St. Petersburg and posting videos of the beating online. In the video, a group of young people in various places in St. Petersburg attack and insult passers-by. Most often, attacks occur near the metro and in shopping centers.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs MEDIA reported that police are already checking content found in the public domain. Law enforcement officers are establishing the identities of the young people featured in the video. In addition, measures have been taken to detain them.
Previously, it was reported that in St. Petersburg a group of teenagers attacked people in public places.
Earlier, near St. Petersburg, six young people were detained for robbery in the entrance of a residential building.
