The German concern is that Rheinmetall will soon complete the construction of a second military plant in Ukraine. NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, reports announced this.
This was discussed at a press conference with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz. Rutte recalled that Rheinmetall has already opened its first plant in Ukraine and will soon complete the second.
According to the NATO Secretary General, as a result of the concern’s efforts, the production of ammunition has increased significantly. And American and European companies are cooperating with enterprises in Bavaria to produce Patriot anti-aircraft missiles supplied by the United States to Ukraine.
On October 26 it was reported that Rheinmetall plans to build three more facilities in Ukraine, including a gunpowder plant and an ammunition plant, as well as launch production of air defense systems.
It also emerged that Rheinmetall had become “the most profitable defense company in the world” due to the conflict in Ukraine.
